Jay C. MacDonald | CEO & Managing Partner
Jay MacDonald is the CEO and Co-Founder of Digital Capital Advisors, LLC and Managing Partner of the Entrepreneur’s Investment Fund and eValue Group – two early stage venture capital funds that invest in digital media companies in the United States and Europe. Jay’s career as both an entrepreneur, investor and investment banker spans 20 years of leading high growth and rapidly changing media companies and investment banking practices.
Highlights of his banking successes include the sale of Weather Underground to The Weather Channel, the sale of Dedicated Media to Lin Television, the sale of SmartClip (Europe’s largest video ad network) to Adconion, the sale of Group Commerce to Nimble Commerce, the acquisition of Opinion Research for infoUSA, the sale of lead generation company Franchise Gator to aQuantive and then representing Microsoft Corp. in the divestiture of Franchise Gator after acquiring aQuantive, the sale of German-based ad serving company Falk eSolutions to DoubleClick, the sale of Q&A platform company Answerology to Hearst, social media services company Ripple6 to Gannett, and interactive agency Special Ops Media to Dutch-listed LBi International.
Previously, Jay was a partner with DeSilva+Phillips, where he founded and led the digital media and technology investment banking practice. He was also the Founder and CEO of WorkingWomanNetwork, Co-Founder and CEO of World Congress, Inc., and Publisher of Inc. Magazine.
He holds a B.A. from the College of Wooster and is a member of World President’s Organization (WPO).
